Lydia Ko continues to impress on CME defending champion on LPGA Tour



The LPGA loves that her final event of the 2013 season and Lydia Ko is making her first start as a professional. In 11 starts this year as an amateur on the tour, they don't miss a single cut and had six top-10 finishes. With consecutive victories at the CN Canadian women's Open 2012 and 2013, she is the first amateur to win twice on the LPGA Tour. She has four worldwide WINS in professional tournaments and has never missed a cut in 25 starts in professional events.


Ko is only 16 years old and announced its decision to become a professional via a Youtube video. LPGA Tour Commissioner Michael Whan expanded her immediately a special exemption and full membership of the LPGA Tour. The LPGA does not allow women under the age of 18 years to LPGA Tour Member, but occasionally offers memberships to teens who show unusual maturity and talent.


Ko has 71-71 posted about her first two rounds in the CME defending champion on Tiburon in Naples, Florida. She is T-23 on two-under par and trails the leader Sandra Gal by nine shots. She was a factor in the Evian Championship in September and finished runner-up, only two shots behind the winner, Suzann Pettersen. Play like a Pro is much different than competing as an amateur. Pressure to perform for sponsors and fans can affect the general attitude.


These three-foot putts have to make a cut much more difficult to navigate. Lydia Ko has an unlimited amount of talent. She has already demonstrated unusual calm and confident on the golf course. They will one of the young players to watch in 2014.
