As the premier eco-friendly golf apparel brand, TOMI OTEE (www.tomiotee.com) is a pioneer and leader in the full supply chain integration of sustainable and ethical practices in the sports chic and golf industry. TOMI OTEE’s goal is to influence consumers to think sustainably in their practice of golf and in their consuming habits all the while looking good in fashionable clothing.

The kickstarter program detailed on Kickstarter and at http://www.tomiotee.com/kickstarter is centered around promoting three defining values: designing fashionable sports chic clothing, bettering our environmental impact through our eco-friendly products and our first-of-its-kind growing network of textile recycling facilities, increasing our impact on local community through creating American jobs and giving back to local charities.

TOMI OTEE’s 2013 collection which can be seen at http://www.tomiotee.com/kickstarter was inspired by summer in the Hamptons and on the French Riviera. “We thought about simple designs, clean and unique, with summer colors as sober as they are expressive and colorful. Achieving that balance is what makes our products unique.” Thomas added, “our collection is as much about the design as it is about the fabrics we choose. Our recycled polyester is super soft and extremely performant, bringing together both the luxury world and active lifestyle. The fact that we make our clothing in the US is just really exciting – we take great pride in the jobs created through us.”

TOMI OTEE’s recycling network is the first of its kind and is detailed at http://www.tomiotee.com/kickstarter. “This is an exclusive program that we set up with USAgain, a leader in textile recycling. We will operate recycling bins over the tristate area for now, from Hartford in CT down to the middle of New Jersey, including of course in the Hamptons. The goal is to save textiles from ending in landfills, educate the golf community on being eco-friendly, and support local charities. That’s why we call it the Positive Impact program,” said Thomas, adding: “We’re very proud and excited about this unique program, and we’re excited to plan events with the children around recycling. Great fashion, in a sustainable world.”

Thomas concluded, “We’re proud to spread the word through the kickstarter community which has always supported initiatives led by small companies with big dreams and strong ethics.” For more information and pictures please email: contact@tomiotee.com or visit http://www.tomiotee.com/kickstarter.
