Panama Pacific Open, golf, for the benefit of the Seve Ballesteros Foundation to support



London & Regional Panama joins a group of companies that believe in the sport, and the work being done by the Organization Panama Golf Group, supporting the tournament Golf Panama Medal Tour 2013, for the benefit of the Seve Ballesteros Foundation.

Panama Golf Group (PGG), an organization that has as its fundamental mission the development of golf in the childhood and the Panamanian youth is. They keep a collaboration agreement with the Seve Ballesteros Foundation, international institution with headquarters in Spain, founded by golfer Severiano Ballesteros (diagnosed in the year 2008 of a brain tumor), the primary mission of the Foundation is to raise funds to promote research on brain tumors and help young golfers in their professional development.


Jaime Carrizo - Associate Director of PGG said that "Panama Medal Tour is a golf aficionado, part of the challenge tour Ballesteros, which is played in 8 countries in America, Asia and Europe." This tour consists of 5 events, 3 qualifiers but the semi-final and the final (being the last two, which are part of the challenge) and is played in 'Medal Play'. We know that companies like London & Regional Panama (L & RP) via Panama Pacific, feel committed to supporting such initiatives, us with pride as Panamanians".


More than 115 participants gathered at the Summit Golf & Resort facilities to compete in the 2nd date of the tournament Golf Panama Medal Tour 2013 which led by name: Panama Pacific Open, for the benefit of the Seve Ballesteros Foundation.


Those attending the tournament competed three categories, and in turn knew everything it offers the commercial part, both in the residential Area Panama Pacific. The players received special welcome kits given by the Queens of beauty Anyolí Abrego and Betzaida Herrera.

Panama Pacific Open winners:


-In category A, with a total of 31 participants, the 1st place gross corresponded to RAUL FORD with a score of 73. The first net position went to JAVIER MINDREAU with a score of 69 and the second net position was for DAWN PROSSER with a score of 70.


-In the B category, with a total of 42 participants, the 1st place gross corresponded to LIGIA DE BERMUDEZ with a score of 78. The first net position was to NESSIM DAYAN with a score of 63 and second NET, KAREN GUTIERREZ with a score of 70.


-In category C, with a total of 38 participants, the 1st since gross ENRIQUE JIMENEZ with a score of 91 points. The first net position was for MARCOS MURILLO with a score of 74 and net second, EDUARDO CÔTES with 74 points.


-In the "Longest drive", the awards LUIGI BEMPORAD took him in pit 4 sponsored by BMW; and on the 13th hole took him KAREN GUTIERREZ, sponsored by the Seve Ballesteros Foundation.


-In awards "Closest to the pin", PEDRO MORENO took him in the 6 hole sponsored by Panama Pacific; and RALPH EVANS took it in the hole 9, sponsored by national insurance.


The challenge Seve Ballesteros is a social initiative that aims to raise funds to promote research into brain tumors. In recent years it has become the biggest amateur tournament in the world, with over 15,000 participants in the 2012 and 5 participating countries. Panama Medal Tour has as main objective the promotion of amateur golf in Central America, through the celebration of the greatest and best tournament amateur throughout the region and the continent.
