Rosedale Golf & Country Club Offers Summer Golf Programs and Incentives

Summer tends to be the slowest time of year for many Florida golf courses, with winter residents having returned north and the summer’s heat and frequent rainstorms making fairways conditions somewhat challenging. The golf management team at Rosedale Golf & Country Club is determined to make the best of all that by offering new programs and incentives aimed at helping people improve their game and get time on the course.
Called “Get Golf Ready,” this three-part summertime series is designed for people who have never played golf before as well as those who simply need to hone their skills. Following is a brief overview of the classes and schedules.

Give Golf A Go: This five-week program is tailored for people who have played golf in the past and want to brush up on forgotten techniques. Classes are on Saturday mornings, 11 a.m. to noon, beginning May 25th. Cost is $120.
Ladies & Links: A class for female golfers who want to learn basic skills as well as the social expectations, etiquette and other aspects of the game. This is a six-week series of classes on Wednesdays from 6-6:45 p.m., beginning May 22nd. Cost is $140.
Welcome to Golf: Perfect for beginning adult golfers, this class builds on the basics. Classes begin May 13th and run for five weeks on Mondays, 11 a.m. to noon. Cost is $120.

Rosedale is also offering a nine-hole incentive that allows golfers to play half the course at a reduced rate. “When faced with summer heat and rain, some people are tempted to just stay off the course until fall, but such an absence can have a detrimental effect on their game, not to mention missing out on all the fun,” said Mike Clayton, head golf professional at Rosedale. “The nine-hole program lets them keep their skills up by playing a shorter game that takes less time and hopefully avoids any weather issues.” Under this program, golfers can play nine holes with a tee-time before 8 a.m. for just $24, and $21 for a tee time after 2 pm.
