The first Golf Cart, Birth of the Cool

There is nothing like sitting behind the wheel of a luxury car. And if you want to have the same experience on a golf course there is only one option, and that is a first. The first have taken the concept of the golf cart and it turned it on its head. As with a car, you can go for the cheap version or you can aspire to the luxury brand, and when one first comes golf is definitely top-of-the-line. They are street legal with indicators and headlights, giving you the opportunity to take them to the golf course, or anywhere else you want to go over the affair.

A cold day in the city of London

We had been waiting for better weather, but as analyst of the BBC announced that the cold was to stay here, editor and I decided that with a deadline looming there nothing was for him, this week could lead a Golf car the first by Park Lane in London and in less than hope for a bit of Sun.

I called Dan Zuckerman on Bob Forstner Park Lane, a luxury car and the first distributor in London and set the day. For anyone not familiar with Park Lane, you know when is close to Bob Forstner by the large collection of petrol heads with nostalgia looking out the window of the exhibition hall. Do how can you blame them, for where else can find a Koenigsegg Agera R with a Spyker C8 Spyder and a Pagani Huayra!? Add to this the first estimated collection, and in fact you're on sacred ground.

We met Dan and namesake of the company Bob Forstner that welcomes us in the hot room. First we are going to lead today is the Monaco 2 + 2 and has already been moved to the rear doors in preparation for our epic journey. Dan has set tuition and all that is required is driving up the ramp and out into the street.

The Monaco

The Monaco is the regal ride compared to the Roadster which is the sporty version. Our model is the choice of four-seater (2 + 2) with a maximum speed of 25 mph / 40kmh. along with countless features of this model includes leather seats, seat belts, refrigerator, lights, indicators and mirrors. There is also a sports mode option for days when you feel the need of a bit of momentum.

From humble beginnings

The company and its first Golf cars are a creation of Lynge-Danish Anders. The idea began to take shape while he studied at a design school in Denmark and more progressed when she worked for a Mercedes tuning company. The first was established in 2005 with the first golf cars and street-legal models initiated in 2010.
The idea was to create the world's car first luxury golf and leisure in design and technology, planned from the first day that street legal.

The cars have a front suspension double wishbone in cast aluminium with vertical coilovers (like you'd find in a high-end sports) that provide stability without equal and management. With a longer wheel base of a golf cart traditional to remove any hanging weight, this also provides a smoother ride. The first has integrated brakes, disc front brakes and drum at the rear for maximum power.

Park Lane London

In a few minutes we are withdrawing in central London traffic, Dan is driving, the editor is CoPilot and I have the rear two seats to myself. Obviously driving through central London in a Golf car the first is not a daily occurrence judging by looks that we receive from passers-by. Taxi drivers in London are particularly interested in wind down your window and give us directions to nearest golf course. Dan indicates well and we move lanes in preparation for turning in Knightsbridge. I wonder if Harrods would mind if it led through its store and did some shopping. We should fit down the aisle.

Advantages of the product

It should be noted that as it's an electric vehicle is not without congestion, toll and parking in the Centre of London. This baby could save you a small fortune and turn heads in a way that is usually reserved for Ferrari drivers. .

Hyde Park

We finally found in Hyde Park and not far from the Serpentine Lake. A photo session is carried out in a pair of soon-to-be-married along with Aston Martin's boyfriend. Soon two cameramen were down as they pick up in the first place. Even wondered if you would be so kind as to park beside Aston Martin so they can include it in his paintings.

Another quick turn-around Park Lane and it is time to return to our carriage to the exhibition hall. The Monaco has handled fantastically well in traffic and several motorists were put to shame when he feels the need to try to get ahead. We take it to its maximum speed, which is handled beautifully and I want to get the new version of the first Mansory Currus in the near future. Unfortunately we would require somewhere outside the city boundary compulsory 30 mph as its maximum speed of 37 mph/60kmh.

Mansory

For those who want something really special, the first have partnered with the signing of luxury auto modification Mansory to create the ultimate luxury recreation vehicle. Mansory are recognized by their body's performance supercars updates. In the first modifications include body panels of carbon fiber specially designed and improvements supercar inspired above all the vehicle to convey superior quality. The floor of the cab can even be lined with teak if desired.

The ambassadors

Paula Creamer, the known American golfer, is one of several ambassadors to the first. As a professional has eleven tournament WINS to his name, including nine LPGA Tour events. She has reached as high as number two in the world rankings of women's Golf and was champion of the open of the women of 2010 in the United States.
"The first is incredible," says Paula. "I love its appearance and the fact that it has some serious entrepreneur, also is fun to drive."

In the showroom

We let the first return with their illustrious peers including a Lamborghini and that impressive Koenigsegg. A very important fact has occurred to me. To update a normal car to a supercar will bring you back lots of money, but upgrading to a first for around £20,000 is within the realms of even the humblest of us. With this thought in mind, I will only have to place that order.
